Description
This laboratory course provides students with practical experience in medical microbiology, focusing on the techniques and principles used to identify pathogens from human samples. The course will cover topics such as safety, microscopy, cultivation of bacteria from various sources, identification of pathogens, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and clinical result interpretation. This optional course is designed to complement theoretical knowledge learned in PATH 3100 with practical laboratory experience in medical microbiology.
